There are so many people out there today who do not do “good business”. It can be so overwhelming when you meet so many people who have no sense of what good business is. They are only out for themselves. It really gives network marketing and home businesses a bad name.
I try to be very honest and truthful in my business practices yet I seem to be in the minority.
Bad business seems to be overflowing in todays world. What can we do to change this?
In my business networking is a must. Every business needs networking. Thats how you get clients and customers. In Network Marketing, you must network thus the name. (LOL) I have joined number of groups and tried some different avenues. Some worked and some didn’t. I think how you network is different for everyone. Some groups and clubs work for some but not for others. I think everyone needs to find what is comfortable for them. However, if you are in network marketing you have to get out of your comfort zone. Here is my story:
Last year in March (2009) I found a networking group on meetup.com and I thought I really need to get out there and meet some new people. Though I was doing well in my business I needed to really get out there. I was very nervous. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I gathered up my business cards and out I went. Now I have always been able to talk to people about my business (Especially since I LOVE IT) but it was more one on one, not in large groups of people of didnt know and certainly not in FRONT of a group as a speaker. This meeting was great, the ladies were super friendly and all had wonderful businesses that I enjoyed hearing about. I joined the group on the spot. A couple meetings later I was told that the group was changing and some of the leaders of the group were going to start their own networking group. I signed up right then and there to join them. I made some wonderful friends, business partners and networking referrals.
Here we are a year later and I can speak in front of a group of 30 and though I still get a little nervous, I love it. I love to share my business, I network every where I go. I try to talk to everyone! I love my business and my team. I am always looking for others who want to build their own successfull business. I am happy to work with them and make their dreams come true.
So in closing, remember NETWORK means to put yourself out there. Even if its uncomfortable in time it will come naturally.
As the year of 2009 ends we should reflect and refocus. We all make promises and set goals for ourselves for the beginning of a new year. However as that year passes, we should look back and see what we accomplished and what we did not. We are not failures for those things still on our “To Do List”, we only failure when we stop trying. We must Keep Moving Forward. Move those ideas and goals on your new list. Write down all the ways you did not accomplish those things and all the ways you can overcome those things in the coming year. If you don’t know how to do this. Contact me and I can help you.
Don’t look back over the last year with Sorrow, look back over it as a learning experience. Write down the lessons you have learned and move forward with the new year.
In this day and age we seem to lose sight of what is truly important. Why do we make New Year Resolutions for? Our Friends, Neighbors or Business Associates….NO. We make them to ourselves. The only people these really mean anything too is ourselves and our Higher Power. Do not let others Judge you. If you are not happy with yourself, what can you do to make yourself happy? Now sit down and write down all your promises, resolutions and goals you had for yourself for 2009. Then the ones that did not come to pass, move to your 2010 list. Write a separate list of why those things did not happen and then sit down and think about how you can make sure they don’t get in the way again.
